Dr Song 50% Lactic Acid Face Peel Review

DSC00359

I am going to be completely honest with you, the first time I used Dr.Songs 50% Lactic Acid I hated it! I really did. It burnt my skin and I could not wait to take it off. But the next time I used it, it wasn’t so bad, it still burnt but it was more tolerable. The more I used this product the more I began to fall in love with it, I will show you why in a minute. First I want to say that if you have sensitive skin I do not recommend this product. The first 2 times I used it, it actually left burn marks on my skin. But… each time I use this product it burns less and less. I’m not sure if I am more tolerant to it now or if it was just something my skin had to adjust to, maybe both.

Let me show you how to apply Dr.Songs 50% Lactic Acid:

What you will need:

Dr.Songs Lactic acid (of course!)

6 cotton balls

a clean wash cloth

timer ( I use the stop watch on my cell phone)

A very good face moisturizer

What to do:

First wash face with face wash and pat dry.

next drop about 3 droppers full of lactic acid onto a cotton ball and apply to one side of face and neck, do the same thing on a new cotton ball and apply to the other side of your face and neck. ( WARNING: KEEP AWAY FROM EYES!)

Set your timer for 30 seconds ( This is what I started with and what I recommend starting with. Each time you use Dr.Songs 50% Lactic acid gradually work your way up 30 seconds at a time until you reach 4 minutes. I also recommend staying at 30 seconds for a week then moving up to 1 minute for a week and so on… till you reach 4 minutes)

Next soak the other 4 cotton balls with warm water one at a time and begin to wipe the peel off your face.

image

After I got the majority of the peel off I then wet my wash cloth with warm water and wipe my face and neck just to make sure I got all of it off.

Next pat your face dry and apply a very good face moisturizer ( I use Mary Kay, time wise moisturizer)

Here is what my skin looked like after one time use

image

And here is what it looked like after about 5 times using this product ~ you can see how the burns start disappearing and my skin tone is evening out, it also shrunk my pores.

I am truly loving my results with this product and I will continue to use it. I love the fact that it is shrinking my pores!

Magnetic Screen Door by iGotTech Review

mag door

This iGotTech magnetic screen door is so awesome! The mesh is tough enough to keep the bugs out yet light enough that you could catch a nice summer breeze. There are magnets that run down the middle of the door allowing it to close each time someone goes in or out. I had to test mine inside but I am very anxious to try it out this summer. The installation was very easy. It only took me about 10-15 minutes to install, with some assistance from my 3 year old son, but if you had someone to help it would take about 5 minutes.

Let me show you just how easy this is to install:

1.) First take everything out of the pack.  It comes with tacks and a roll of Velcro I didn’t need the tacks this time but if I decide to move the screen door I think they will be needed.

mag door 2

2.) Lay the  iGotTech magnetic screen door on the floor and straighten it out.

mag door 3

3.) Next run the tape of velcro along both sides and the top, sticky side up but do not pull the white tape off till you hang it.

mag door 4

4.) Then peel the white tape off

mag door 5

5.) Hang your magnetic door

mag door 6

And there you have it, your magnetic door is installed! My son loved it, he has been running threw it all day. I loved how simple this was to install and I even had my son help me.

Insta-Natural Stretch Mark and Scar Cream Review

DSC00362

A few months ago I broke my capitulum, it is the ball in your elbow that allows your arm to rotate. The piece that I broke lodged into my joint and I had surgery to remove that piece and two screws were needed to place it back where it belonged . Now I have a very ugly scar that I am desperately trying to make fade away. If you are like me and suffer from stretch marks and/or scars you will want to get your hands on a bottle of this. Insta-Natural stretch mark and scar cream is made from key ingredients that help to eliminate the appearance of scars and stretch marks by improving the elasticity of the skin.

Key Ingredients listed on the bottle are as follows:

* Vitimin C (15%)

* Cocoa butter

* Rosehip oil

* Mango butter

* Grapeseed oil

* evening primrose oil

Insta-Naturals has a thick and creamy texture.

It takes about 5-10 minutes to dry but dries clear and does not leave your skin feeling greasy.

EMILE REVIEW

I was unsure of what recipe I wanted to use for this review. I wanted a recipe that really showcased the mild yet  elegant flavor of Emile Noel Olive oil, and I found it! Here is a recipe I adapted from FOOD.COM and it works so well with Emile Noel Olive Oil.

Pasta

Garlic & Olive Oil Pasta Recipe

Ingredients:

1 pound spaghetti (cooked to eldente and drained)

3/4  Cup Emile Noel Olive Oil

2 Large garlic cloves ( if you like more or less garlic feel free to adjust this )

1 pound of bacon (fried, crumbled & grease drained )

1/8 Cup Fresh parsley + some for garnish (finely chopped)

Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on pasta if desired

Directions:

In a large bowl add all ingredients except garlic and Emile Olive oil, use tongs to toss spaghetti so all ingredient are mixed. In a smaller bowl add garlic by squeezing it through a garlic press, then add Emile Olive Oil. Using a whisk, whisk vigorously for 30 seconds. Poor this mixture over the spaghetti and toss with tongs once more. Enjoy! =)

I took this spaghetti to my moms house and one of the first things she said to me was “Oh my gosh, that’s good olive oil! what kind is it?” It is that good! After I ate my pasta I put some more of Emile Noel Olive Oil on my plate and dipped my bread stick in it…. Don’t judge me LOL

Dr.Songs Rosehip oil review

image

I was surprised to find out that Dr.Song Organic Rosehip oil had so many different uses and benefits. This product does everything from lighten scars to repairing damaged hair. Dr.Song Organic Rosehip oil should definitely be a staple in every woman’s cosmetic bag!

When I opened my bottle of Dr.Song Rosehip oil I was expecting it to smell like roses, it did not, instead it smelled more like a potato. I know how strange that sounds so I got my mother in law to smell it and she said the same thing. It is not a strong smell and does not linger on you through out the day. Once the oil dries you can no longer smell it.

List of Benefits & Uses for Dr.Song Rosehip oil:

* contains high amounts of fatty acids ( especially linoleic & linolenic )

* 100% pure, organic virgin oil

* Reduces the appearance of scars, wrinkles, and stretch marks

* Moisturizes dry skin

* Helps with brittle nails

* Helps to repair dry & damaged hair

* Anti-inflammatory

* evens skin tone

* Dr. Song Rosehip oil is a dry oil, this basically means once you apply the oil and it drys (about 5-10 minutes) it does not feel greasy.

Here is what Dr.Song rosehip oil looks like when applied , just rub it in and it drys clear and does not have a greasy feel.

I found an awesome recipe on clonesNclowns for a face mask using Rosehip oil that I want to share with you. My sister and I both used this and I have to tell you it felt amazing! After we took the face mask off our faces felt so smooth! I will be using this again and again and again!

Rosehip Oil Face Mask Recipe:

2 tsp. plain or Greek yogurt ( I used Greek! )

1 tsp. honey

5-10 drops of Dr.Song Rosehip oil ( I used about 10 )

What to do:

mix all ingredients in a small bowl or coffee mug and apply an even coat to face and neck. Leave on for 10 minutes, rinse mask off and pat dry. That’s it! pretty awesome huh?? =)

*Dr.Song Rosehip Oil comes in a 4 fl oz bottle with a medicine dropper lid, making it easy to use.

( Boudreaux’s Butt Paste Coupon!) Love this stuff!

Line a cookie sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray. Unroll puff pastry and butter like you would a slice of bread ( about 1 Tbsp.). Set aside. In a small bowl mix 4 Tbsp. Brown sugar and 1/4 tsp. cinnamon. Spread onto buttered puff pastry. Lay apple slices on top ( I do three rows of three). Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. When apples square come out of the oven allow them to cool for about 5-10 minutes and using a spatula take apple squares off of cookie sheet and on to a cooling rack, if you do not do this they will stick to the foil. Let cool completely cut into squares and drizzle with glaze ( optional).

Glaze- I really do not have a recipe for the glaze, I am just going to explain how I make it. I usually start with 1 cup of powdered sugar then I pour milk in till it thins, I also add cinnamon and 1/2 a tsp of vanilla and whisk everything together. If it looks too thick add some more milk, if it looks too thin add some more powdered sugar.

** This makes 9 squares. Since puff pastry normally comes in a pack of two it will be easy to double this recipe.
