low-carb Mozzarella sticks

Looking for a low-carb side? Give these Mozzarella sticks a try! 🙂



1 pack of Mozzarella cheese strings

1 jar of garlic basil pesto

1/4 Cup of bread crumbs



Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

First unwrap all the cheese strings and set aside. Next put about 3-4 heaping spoonfuls of pesto onto a paper plate. Using a second paper plate place 1/4 Cup of bread crumbs on it. Now take cheese string one at a time and roll into pesto and then into bread crumbs. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake for about 5 minutes. It is very important to watch these carefully as they cook otherwise you will have a big blob of melted cheese.


NOTE: The nest time I make these I will try to fry in a frying pan with some olive oil. 🙂
