DIY Chalkboard Log Slice
DIY Chalkboard log slice’s are probably one of the easiest DIY Projects around. If you have log slices. I didn’t but I did halve a Pap, with a chainsaw, with an unlimited amount of fire wood in the field. When you are a good cook it’s easy to bribe people into doing things they don’t want to do like cutting log slices in exchange for an apple pie ;).
What you will need:
- Log slices
- chalkboard paint
- foam brush
- old news papers or a garbage bag to paint on
- chalk
The How To:
Step one:Find a sweet Pap to cut some log slices. Remember to bribe him with an apple pie ;).
Pap bring up my load of Log slices:
Step Two: Paint the log slice(s) with chalkboard paint in the middle leaving a rim. Leaving a rim makes them look more natural and rustic in my opinion.
Step Three: Once the paint is completely dry you can write on it with chalk. I like to write different saying for each season. You will have to use a damp cloth to get the chalk off when you switch out the writing. P.s. Don’t laugh at my sad attempt to draw a leaf.. I am not an artist. LOL.
