Bath Luffa Pumpkin
Bath Luffa Pumpkin
Fall is quickly approaching and I’ve been working on some DIY’s to add to my decor. I always struggle with my bathroom. My bathroom is small… very small. I wanted something seasonal that would also tie in with my bathroom so I came up with these luffa pumpkins. I can’t even handle how cute these are! And they are so easy to make, let me show you!
Materials:
- Bath Luffa ( I wanted some tan and white ones also but couldn’t find any)
- stain or coffee if you like the grungy look (If you chose the stain method you’ll need a foam brush)
- stick from the backyard
- A few different types of ribbon ( The Dollar Tree is a great place to look!)
- leaves ( I bought a big pack at the Dollar General)
- hot glue gun & Glue Sticks
How to:
Step 1: First, I used my hands to fluff out my Luffa. You can skip the grunging part if you wish but I like the looks of it. This can be done two different ways:
Method 1: Soak your Luffa in coffee for and hour then hang it to dry. Make sure to put an old towel under it to catch the coffee drippings.
Method 2: Dip a foam brush into stain and brush the majority of it off onto a paper towel, then dab it on the sponge.
I tried this both ways and preferred the look of the coffee dye.
Step 2: After grunging cut off the loop that’s used to hang the luffa. Then, using your hot glue gun, glue a stick where the loop was for a stem.
Step 3: I then glued a bow and some leaves to the stem. I used the re-fabbed method for making my bow, you can view this by clicking HERE.
And it’s as easy as that! This truly is one of the easiest DIY’s I’ve ever done!
