Caramel Apple donut holes
Ingredients:
1 can Pillsbury grands honey butter biscuits
16 caramel candies (unwrapped)
1 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. apple pie spice
oil for frying
Directions:
* Set oil temperature for deep fryer to 350 degrees
In a medium size mixing bowl add sugar, cinnamon, and apple pie spice, mix well and set aside. Pop open biscuits and cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Using thumbs flatten each piece and place a caramel in the middle, pull dough up around the caramel and pinch together, use hands to roll into a ball. Do this to all 16 pieces. Drop a few in at a time, ( do not over crowd or they will stick together!, my small fryer holds about 4 at a time) fry until golden brown. Using a slotted spoon ( or my fryer has a strainer) take donuts out and place into sugar mixture, roll donuts till evenly coated with the mixture. Enjoy =)
