You will have to excuse the directions in this post. I have sat here for about 2 hours trying to write this and it seems my brain is just not working with me today. Really, it’s just lasagna, it’s pretty self explanatory. If you have any questions before making the dish please feel free to contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible! 🙂

Ingredients:

15 lasagna noodles ( cooked al dente)
19 steakums (cooked and drained on a paper towel)
1 bag mozzarella cheese (4 cup bag)
2 jars of your favorite spaghetti sauce
1 green bell pepper
1 small-medium onion
1 cup baby Bella mushrooms
2-3 Tbsp butter to saute onions peppers and mushrooms

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

Slice peppers and onions, and saute in a medium to large frying pan along with 2-3 Tbsp. of butter. Once onions and peppers are almost cooked (soft) add the mushrooms and cook for about 1 minute. Set aside. To assemble the lasagna first start by adding 1/4 of the jar of sauce to the bottom of the pan, just enough to cover the bottom. Next lay 5 noddles down ( 4 horizontal, & the 5th noodle will need to be cut to fit and lay it diagonal). Pour another 1/4 of the jar of sauce down. Next add 6 steakums evenly over the noodles sprinkle with about 1 cup of cheese and 1/4 of the sauteed peppers, onions & mushrooms. repeat 2 more times except now add 1/2 of the jar of sauce to each layer. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Add the rest of the cheese, pepper, onions, & mushrooms, & shredded steakum bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.
