Lately, I have been seeing tons woodsy decor done up with moss. I thought it would be fun to try to make some mossy decor of my own. I headed straight to my favorite place, the Dollar Tree to see what they had for me to work with. As usual, they didn’t disappoint. I found a few different types of moss. I really liked the looks of the floral moss so I grabbed a few bags. I knew I wanted to make them round so I came across some ping pong balls and knew they would be perfect for this craft! Let me show you how I made them!
Materials:
- Pin pong or table tennis balls from Dollar Tree
- Floral Moss from Dollar Tree
- Hot glue gun & Glue sticks
How to:
Step 1: Grab a small clump of floral moss and do your best to flatten in out with your hands.
Step 2: Put a dab of glue on the bottom of the ping pong ball and glue it in the center of the moss. Begin to glue the moss around the ping pong ball. It helps of you take your hands and work with the moss around the ball as if you were making a snow ball.
(sorry this photo is so blurry… the sun wasn’t working with me!)
Step 3: Decorate! They would look cute in a dough bowl or a tiered tray. I chose to fill a glass jar from the Dollar Tree up with a few rocks and then I put 3 moss balls in it.
