DIY Tiered Tray

Pin me! – Pinterest

I’ve been seeing these tiered trays everywhere lately and I love them! They can be a little pricey so I decided to make one of my own. I found the pie pans and the candle stick at the goodwill. Because I had most of the supplies on hand this tray only cost me about $5 to make! Let me show you how you can make one of your own :

Materials needed:

  • 2 pie pans ( I found mine at the goodwill. I paid $1.99 for both of them!)
  • Candle stick ( I found this wooden one at Goodwill for $.99)
  • Chalk paint of your choice
  • sanding block
  • E-6000

Step 1: Paint your candle stick with the color of your choice. I used this plaster color. Allow the paint to dry.

step 2: Once the paint is dry use a sanding block to rough it up. My good friends Lizzy and Erin from LizzyandErin.com told me they have these sanding blocks at the dollar tree so that’s where I got mine.

step 3: After rough up the candle stick I then glued it to the pie pans with E-6000. I recommend sitting something heavy on the top pan to apply some pressure. I used the paint bottle at first but later went to the cupboard for a heavy jar of peanut butter.

Step 4: The last thing left to do is to decorate!
