Dollar Tree Bells Makeover
Watch me! – YouTube (Coming soon!)
It amazes me how a little chalk paint can totally transform the looks of something, like these bells I found at the Dollar Tree. Bells are kinda my jam this year, so when I saw these bells at the Dollar Tree I knew I needed to grab some. This DIY is so easy to make and is going to look adorable on the Christmas tree we have upstairs. Let me show you how I made them!
- Bells from the dollar tree ( they come in a pack of 4)
- white chalk paint
- paint brush
- thin twine ( you can find this in the hardware department at Walmart)
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
Step 1: First, cut the ribbon off that comes with the bells. Paint the inside and outside of each bell white, you may need two coats. You want to paint the inside so when your bells are hanging on the tree the silver isn’t showing. Allow the paint to dry.
Step 2: Using your ribbon make small bows for each bell and hot glue them in place. I like to keep my bows super simple for this. I think if you get too fancy with the bow it will take away from the bell.
Step 3: The last step is to thread the bell onto a piece of twine and tie a knot so you are able to hang it. That’s it! Your bell ornaments are now ready to hang on the Christmas tree.
