I found these little picture frames at the Dollar Tree and instantly knew I wanted to turn them into Ornaments for my Christmas tree. I made mine pretty simple but you can dress them up or down however you’d like. This is a great way to decorate your Christmas tree on a budget and it looks adorable. Let me show you how I made them! :

Materials :

  • 2×3 picture frames from the dollar tree. Each frame will make 1 ornament
  • printer and printer paper
  • left over morning coffee
  • old cookie sheet
  • scissors
  • Mod Podge
  • glitter
  • paint brush
  • small ribbon

How to:

Step 1: Type cute Christmas sayings, size them to fit, and print. Allow the printer ink to dry for about one hour. Once the ink is dry soak the paper in coffee for about 10 minutes. Pull the paper out of the coffee and place on a cookie sheet. Bake at the LOWEST temperature setting on y0ur oven, mine is 170. Bake for about 10 minute, flip and bake for an additional 10 minutes. It’s important not to walk away during this process as you don’t want the paper to catch fire.

Step 2: Gently tear off the cardboard stand on the frame and throw that and the glass away. Cut the coffee dyed sayings to fit the frame. Mod Podge them to the card board backing. Then put it in the frame just to make sure everything is straight.

Step 3: Paint a thin layer of Mod Podge over the paper and apply a thin layer of white snow glitter. While it is still wet gently scrap the glitter off the words with your finger nail. Once this dries, hot glue some ribbon to the back and you are all finished! You can dress these up or down however you want them.
