I want to decorate my dinning room table for Valentine’s Day this year. I have yet to do it, so I’m hoping I get it done before Valentine’s Day is over, LOL. I just want to do something simple and at the same time I want that simple to scream Valentine’s Day. I thought nothing screams Valentine’s Day quite like conversation heart! So I headed to the Dollar Tree, of course, and picked up a few items to make this cute little piece.
If you look closely you will notice that there’s no white hearts… yeah, I ate all of those, LOL. The white ones are my favorite because they are mint, I LOVE mint. I tried to hold off eating them but I just couldn’t do it.. the pressure got to me. I still think it looks cute, even without any of the white hearts, haha.
Materials:
- Glass jar with a lip as pictured ( I bought this one at the Dollar Tree)
- Taper Candle
- Ribbon
- Candy hearts ( Because this is a decoration I would buy the cheapest ones you can find)
- Hot glue gun & glue stick ( You only need a dab of glue.)
How to:
Step 1: Make a bow using ribbon and attach it to the jar.
Step 2: Put a small dab of glue on the bottom of the candle and stick it to the bottom, center of the jar. This just helps to hold the candle in place while adding the hearts.
Step 3: Fill the jar with candy hearts. Notice how all the white ones are missing? haha.
