Gingerbread Man Postage Stamp Ornament Craft Kit Tutorial
Today I’m going to show you a creative way to craft our Gingerbread Man Postage Stamp Ornaments! This kit comes in a set of three ornaments and includes the laser cut MDF wood bases only so you can add your own creative embellishments to these to make them truly one of a kind! These are super fun seasonal decorations that make cute gifts and can smell SO good with added cinnamon! Let’s get started!

Supplies:
- Gingerbread Man Postage Stamp Ornaments Craft Kit Bases — COMES IN SET OF 3
- ModPodge
- Ground Cinnamon
- Acrylic paint (Tan, Barn Red, English Ivy Green)
- Paint sponge or paint brush
- Sand paper
- Dixy Bell Antique Wax & Blending Tool
- Stickfast Glue
- Fabric material strips or ribbon for bow
- Small buttons
- Hot glue gun & glue sticks
- Twine or ribbon for hanging
- Black permanent marker
Step 1: Cover Gingerbread Men with ModPodge and Cinnamon
Apply a layer of ModPodge to the gingerbread man pieces and sprinkle ground cinnamon on top. Shake off excess cinnamon and let dry. I used my hair dryer to make the drying process go a little faster.

Step 2: Paint the Background Pieces
Next, paint the background postage stamp pieces. I used tan for the smaller rectangle pieces.

Then for the bottom rectangles with the jagged edges, I painted one of them Barn Red, and another English Ivy Green. I painted two coats each, making sure they were dry in between each layer, to get a good solid color.

Step 3: Sand the Background Pieces (Optional)
Next, to give these postage stamp ornaments a rustic look, I took some sand paper and my sanding block to sand some of the edges and surface of my ornaments. This is totally optional.

Step 4: Apply Antique Wax (Optional)
After sanding, I used some of my Dixy Bell Antique Wax and applied it to my rectangle pieces with my blending tool.

Step 5: Glue Ornament Pieces
Now it’s time to assemble your ornament pieces. I used Stickfast Glue and glued the tan rectangle pieces on top of the green and red pieces.

Next, I used some hot glue to add rustic fabric bows and the buttons to my gingerbread men and hot glued the gingerbread men to my postage stamp backgrounds.

Step 6: Add Twine
I strung some twine through the little holes at the top of my ornament so I can hang it. I double knotted the twine at the back so it wouldn’t slip back through the holes. Wire or ribbon would work as well.

Step 7: Draw Faces
Lastly, I used a Sharpie extra fine tip Marker to draw some cute faces on my gingerbread men! Done!
