Pipe Cleaner Heart Garland
Pipe Cleaner Heart Garland
As I said a few times before, I have decided to decorate a tree for Valentine’s Day this year. Because I don’t have a huge budget for decorating I am trying to do it on the cheap. But, just because I am doing this on a budget doesn’t mean it has to look like it was done on a budget.
My mom has this really cute garland she puts on one of her trees every year for Christmas. This year I took a closer look at that garland and I realize it was just pipe cleaners! I instantly thought, I could make that! And so that’s that I did. I decided to take mine up a notch by shaping it into hearts for Valentine’s Day. Let me show you how to make some heart garland of your own!
Materials:
- Pipe cleaners in colors of your choice ( I chose red, white, and pink)
- Scissors
How to:
Step one: Cut pipe cleaners in half. The amount of pipe cleaners needed will depend on how long you want your garland to be.
Step 2: Form one of your pipe cleaners into a circle and twist it together to secure it. Next, loop another pipe cleaner through the circle you just made and twist it to secure. Continuing doing this until your pip cleaner reaches desired length.
Step 3: You can do this step as you go or you can wait until you’re finished to do it, I like to do it as I go. Push the center of the circle down and tug a little on the bottom to make a heart.
