DIY Snowy Pine Cones
DIY Snowy Pine Cones are easy and fun to make! Making your house beautiful for Christmas doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. Today I am going to show you how I made these elegant looking snowy pine cones without breaking the bank. These are so easy to make, I think you are going to love them! =)
What you will need:
Pine Cones ( find them in the woods somewhere or buy a pack of the scented ones at the store)
1 bag of Epsom salts
white glitters
mod podge ( you can by this at the dollar tree!)
paint brush
brown paper bag
The Step by Step:
Step 1 – Add right to the brown paper bag, 1 cup of Epsom salts and about 1-2 tsp. white glitters. Give the bag a couple shakes and make sure the glitter is mixed in good.
Step 2 – pour the mod podge in a very small bowl ( the dollar tree has the perfect bowls for this! They sell little packs of clear plastic bowls over near the party supplies.
Step 3 – paint the tips of the pine cones with mod podge. When you are painting them try to imagine where the snow would fall, and those are the parts you want to paint.
Step 4 – put the pine cone in the brown paper bag and shake it all around so all the painted parts of the pine cone are well coated with the salts (snow).
Step 5 – pull the pine cones out and let them dry
Step 6 – decorate the house with them or give them as gifts!
