On a live a few days ago I showed you all an idea I had for these mini stockings I found at Walmart. During that live I also told you I had a few other ideas for these stockings and this is one of them! I decided to turn them into little ornaments for my Christmas tree and they are adorable! Let me show you how I made these stocking ornaments.

Materials:

  • Mini stockings from Walmart ( You get 4 for .98 cents! )
  • Left over morning coffee ( This is optional, but I love the coffee dyed look!)
  • old cookie sheet (only needed if you decide to coffee dye)
  • Poly Fill
  • Hot glue gun & Glue sticks
  • Embellishments ( I used some pieces from a pick and some ribbon)

How to:

Step 1: First, coffee dye each stocking. To do this, soak each stockings in left over morning coffee for about 10 minutes. If you are not a coffee drinker, buy a cheap jar of instant coffee to use. Next, gently wring them out and lay them on a cookie sheet. Allow to dry overnight.

Step 2: Stuff the stockings with some poly fill to your liking. Hot glue the top of the stocking shut.

Step 3: Lastly, embellish the stocking. I used a piece of a pick I bought from Walmart. And, since buffalo check is all the rage this year, I added a buffalo check bow tp each stocking.
