Christmas break is over and I’m ready to whip out the hot glue gun. I thought jumping into Valentines Day DIY’s would be a breeze, but the stores are not making that possible. My local Dollar tree is already in the process of packing up Valentines Day and putting out Saint Patricks day… It’s only January 7th, people! Because the stores are practically forcing me into spring, I am going to do the best I can with what I can find.

After a few laps around the Dollar Tree I came across these heart shaped bowls and thought they would be a good place to start! I really enjoyed this craft because not only is it easy, but it is something you can keep up most of the year.

Materials:

  • Glass heart (Dollar Tree )
  • Floral Moss ( Dollar Tree)
  • Decorative stones (Dollar Tree)
  • Votive Candle ( Dollar Tree)
  • hot glue gun & glue sticks

How to:

Step 1:  Begin hot gluing the moss around the outer sides of the heart. Because the moss is bunched up in a bag, you will need to spread it out some with your fingers.

Step 2:  Glue the votive candle down by putting a little dab of hot glue in the center of the heart. This just helps to steady the candle when we add the rocks.

Step 3: Add the decorative rocks around the candle. Now you are all ready to decorate with this cute woodsy looking heart!
